Eshita Kabra-Davies knew that she had to try and improve the sustainability of fashion when she saw the effects of textile waste whilst honeymooning in Rajasthan, India. She set about creating By Rotation, a fashion rental platform and app that lets users lend and rent clothes by the day. Meaning that if you have a wedding to go to, a black-tie event or you just want a new outfit for brunch, you don’t have to buy a new outfit. It’s a great way for the renter to save money, the lender to make money and of course it’s helping the environment too. As part of their commitment to becoming fully sustainable, they have also partnered with aftercare specialist BLANC, so that users have a more eco-friendly alternative to dry-cleaning which also prolongs the life cycle of each item.
