When Jonathan Mappin opened his small silver workshop in Sheffield back in 1775, it is unlikely he would have been able to ever imagine how far his business would go. Mappin & Webb has supplied cutlery, silverware and jewellery to the world’s upper echelons for centuries. The brand has been blessed with the dedicated patronage of the Royal Family and has been granted Royal Warrants from five successive British monarchs spanning over 120 years. Outside of the Royal Family, the brand’s fine products have been central to British life, making the Ryder Cup trophy and the Royal Ascot trophy. Today, the brand offers a range of services. As well as manufacturing their own silver, they sell a selection of high quality wristwatches, jewellery and luxury gifts. The brand have four shops across London and perhaps the most extensive is located on Regent Street in Soho.
