It was Lee J Rowland’s experience as an aircraft engineer and natural eye for design that led him to work with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Mr and Mrs Smith and Ice T on a number of fashion based and bespoke projects. By 2008, he had scaled up to producing furniture and founding Rowland Art Engineering which specialises in designing and creating contemporary, original interior tables and luxury accessories for superyachts and the finest residences in the world. Made in the Midlands, they are the epitome of creative British engineering, using materials such as titanium, white gold, silver and stainless steel to produce adventurous, original pieces. Projects include working with superyacht interior design company H2 to build mesmerising ripple and water-themed metallic furniture and currently Lee is working with luxury British bedmakers, Ammique, to create the world’s most expensive bed, so we will keep you posted on its imminent launch!
