15 years ago stockbroker Alastair Kendall decided that his fast life in the City was not giving him the work-life balance he needed to be part of his children’s development. He saw how sport had nurtured both his all round development and was fast becoming an important part of his children’s lives. With this in mind, he embarked on his next venture - a children’s gym that focuses on all round improvement. The Little Gym balances a fun environment with a serious focus on childhood development. They employ a proprietary philosophy called Three Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The three dimensions of this philosophy are ‘Get Moving!’, ‘Brain Boost’ and ‘Life Skills’, each of which are developed in every class. This holistic approach to development encourages children to become well-rounded, well-adjusted and well-balanced, three key traits essential for a successful future.
