Liverpool Biennial

Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary visual art at the Liverpool Biennial 2025, the UK’s largest free festival of contemporary visual art. This eagerly awaited event will transform Liverpool from 7 June to 14 September 2025, showcasing a vibrant mix of new and established talent in venues across the city.

The Liverpool Biennial has become a cornerstone for the arts in the UK, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge art and engage with dynamic projects and installations. From innovative exhibitions to permanent artistic landmarks throughout the city, the Biennial sets the stage for a spectacular array of visual narratives.

This year, we are excited to announce that the curator for the 2025 edition has been selected, promising a fresh and compelling perspective on contemporary art. We're also thrilled to introduce a new project focused on children and young people, led by artist Stine Marie Jacobsen, which promises to inspire the next generation of art enthusiasts.

In celebration of our 25th anniversary, renowned sculptor Sir Antony Gormley has created a limited-edition print available exclusively at our Biennial shop. This edition is a perfect way to commemorate the ongoing legacy of the Biennial while supporting the arts.

Additionally, our commission spotlight features breathtaking installations like Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ and Ugo Rondinone’s ‘Liverpool Mountain,’ which continue to draw visitors and spark conversation long after their unveiling.

Join us in supporting this monumental event. Contributions help sustain our community projects and ensure that the Liverpool Biennial remains a free and accessible platform for everyone to enjoy. Explore the festival, meet our Critical Friends Group, or find that perfect piece of art in our shop.
