English National Ballet - The Forsythe Evening
Master choreographer, William Forsythe, has created a special 3-part programme for the English National Ballet at Sadler's Wells, celebrating his enduring love and curiosity for ballet.
Juxtaposing ballet classicism, athleticism and different musical styles, Forsythe has created an awe-inspiring audio-visual feast.
Part 1 - Playlist (EP), six music tracks ranging from Khalid and Barry White to Lion Babe, and up to 30 dancers on stage.
Part 2 - Blake Works I, a soulful piece for 21 dancers set to seven songs from James Blake’s album, The Colour in Anything, including solos, duets and intricate group formations.
Part 3 - Approximate Sonata 2016 - a series of stripped down duets with a complex choreography that seems to carve out the air around the dancers.
A completely amazing programme for those that love Dance of any genre.
